Mygalomorphs
are generally larger than most spiders and have hairy legs and bodies.
Their eyesights are poor and thus depend on these hairs to detect
prey and avoid predators, by air currents and ground movements.
This
individual was seen being harassed by a few cats while crossing
a road. Looks like it had one leg missing.
