Interesting Facts: Horseshoe bats have a complex, nose-leaf expansion of the skin surrounding the nostrils. There are 3 parts. Horseshoe bats got its name because the lower part of the skin expansion, is shaped like horseshoe. Thse bats generally fly with their mouth closed and emit ultrasonic sounds through their nostrils.

Size: Forearm Length about 4.5 cm

Diet: Consists of insects

Activity: Nocturnal

Habitat: Roosts in small groups in caves, tunnels near forest.
