Interesting Facts: All monitor lizards have a relatively similar body form, with long necks, well-developed limbs, strong claws and powerful tails. They are good swimmers, and can sometimes be spotted swimming in rivers.

Diet: crabs, frogs, eggs, birds, small mammals

Activity: Diurnal

Habitat: Watered area such as mangroves, swamps, coastal beach.
