Many-lined Sun Skink Mabuya multifasciata

Status : Common

Interesting Facts: Skinks are easily recognised by their modest size, generally smooth, supple bodies with small legs and overlapping scales covering the bodies, legs and tail. This particular species of skink is very common in Singapore. It is active by day, usually seen basking under the sun.

Size: total length up to 35 cm

Diet: Small invertebrates

Activity: Diurnal, terrestrial, many live among leaf litter.

Habitat: Forest habitats, sometimes in gardens and park.

Threats: Habitat destruction.
