Interesting Facts: This snake was recently discovered on September 2003 near Sime Forest. However, it was mis-identified as the Blue Bronzeback until Gernot Vogel shed some light on the differences in coloration among several types of Bronzeback. This snake is actually the elegant bronzeback while our "mis-identified" elegant bronzeback is actually a newly described species! (Red-necked Bronzeback)

Size: 1.5 m

Diet: Mainly lizards and frogs

Activity: Primary arboreal, diurnal, oviparous.

Habitat: Forested area.
