Status: Common

Interesting Facts: This terrapin is unique as it possess a hinge on the plastron which allows the shell to be completely closed with its head and limbs tuck in.

It is commonly kept in Chinese temples.

 

Size:25 cm

Diet: Omnivorous.

Activity: Both diurnal and nocturnal.

Habitat: Forested area.
